Installed GPS Modems

Ontario Wireless is pleased to introduce two new Fleet Tracking bundles designed for business clients on the 1X/CDMA network.

These bundles include:

a GPS in-vehicle modem & antenna
installation
the monthly online monitoring fee
wireless data plan

The GPS Fleet Tracking bundles operate on the 1x/CDMA network. There are two rate plans available:

AVL 48 - For clients who require GPS location data every two minutes, transmitted to a base station every six minutes.

AVL 58 - For clients who require GPS location data ever one minute, transmitted to a base station every four minutes.

Features & Benefits:

Improved productivity: Drivers can cut travel time by optimizing route schedules. Dispatch based on near real-time fleet location information.
Enhanced Fleet Management: Through monitoring of vehicle speed (calculated), travel time and alerts based on specific thresholds and geographic perimeters (geo-fencing).
Get Position (for select devices): For users of TELUS Resource Tracker (PCS devices only) or TELUS Asset Tracker, you will be able to retrieve the current location of these devices on demand in addition to the automated reporting frequency by selecting Get Position from the Asset right-click menu.
Tracking Hours: For users of TELUS Resource Tracker (PCS devices only) and TELUS Asset Tracker, you can specify Tracking Hours. Devices will only be tracked during the specified tracking hours.
Harsh Breaking, Rapid Acceleration & Idle time: Users of the MGS 200G will be able to monitor harsh breaking and rapid acceleration events and even specify notification Alerts based on these events and Idle time
Vacation Disconnect: Users can suspend the service of Fleet Tracker for a minimal cost per month.

Steps For Getting Setup:

Sign a three year service agreement.
Sign an equipment order form.
Ontario Wireless submits your application for processing once approved.
The order takes approximately 7-14 days to receive due to testing prior to installation.
